According to Chinese philosophy two opposing forces, the yin and the yang, co-exist interdependently to make up universal existence. You cannot have one without the other. So it seems in many aspects of life that you cannot have the good without the bad and vice-versa. Life, death, love, hate, peace, war all intermingled in equilibrium. Would we be able to recognize peace without war? War without peace? Would we recognize the gloriousness of a thriving, new alternative community of music based... It all started sometime last year with a friend of mine, Rob Pitt, saying that he’d love it if there were a “minimal” netBloc release. However, with the netBloc series being about variety, I felt that I couldn’t release something so narrowly focused on one sub-genre. If I were to put together something remotely like that, it had to be something more varied. I decided to begin slowly pulling together instrumental netaudio gems as I came across them while developing other netBloc... Everytime I come across incredible pop music from Sweden, I wonder if there’s something in the water that makes such a large of number of that nation’s songwriters and musicians have such a firm grasp on what it is that makes tasty pop music. Back in 2007 while putting together a netBloc release, I discovered another of these gifted Swedish groups… Garmisch Partenkirchen (later shortened simply to Garmisch). Their song “Black Paint” wound up being featured on “netBloc Vol. 5: The... Topics: blocsonic, maxbloc, garmisch, tha silent partner, march rosetta, daniel maze, sweden, electropop,...

Here’s another fresh netBloc release for you to soak in. As always… it was a challenge to pull together and it underwent a serious overhaul when it became clear that an artist and a label weren’t as serious about the release as I was. Finally, when all is said and done… this release is 1000% better because of the replacement tracks and new play order.
